Low2NoBev is the first major drinks industry trade event to open its doors for 14 months, under All Secure guidelines, and is set to provide inspiration for drinks buyers by showcasing the latest, and some of the best, products to meet growing consumer demand 

 

With over 150 brands to discover, Low2NoBev offers a compelling reason for hospitality and retail drinks buyers to explore the latest product launches and sector innovation, supported by the most recent category insight. With trends, analysis and practical advice being shared at the Quench Live theatre sessions, run in partnership with BrewDog, Low2NoBev is the ultimate destination for anyone involved in drinks procurement – all whilst being able to enjoy (socially distanced) face to face interaction with industry colleagues. 

Consumer demand for low and no alcohol drinks continues to rise, with retail sales reported to have increased by over 50% to £217m[1] and a renewed focus on health & wellbeing likely to drive trial and purchase that impacts positively on turnover and profit. Low2NoBev is the only dedicated show for the low and no drinks sector and runs on 9th and 10th June at The Truman Brewery in London.  

The importance of stocking a good selection of drinks from the low and no alcohol category is further highlighted by recent research[2] for show supporter The Portman Group. They reported that two-thirds (62.5%) of UK adults had at least tried a low and no product, and 25% of current alcohol drinkers are semi-regular consumers, choosing a drink from the category often or sometimes. When asked what would incentivise existing consumers to drink more lower and no alcohol products, a lower price was the prime motivation but this was followed by having greater availability of well-known brands (26%), greater availability in supermarkets and off-licences (22%); greater availability in pubs, bars and restaurants (20%) and greater availability of craft products (20%). 

Innovation in the category has never been stronger, with a fantastic selection of great tasting low or no alcohol alternatives available across beers, wines, ciders, spirits and functional drinks. New Products: 

Noughty Rosé from Thomson and Scott. An alcohol-free organic vegan sparkling rosé wine, Noughty Rosé is produced with 100% organic Tempranillo grapes from southern Spain and dealcoholised using historic patented methods, which create a delicious, crisp and fresh wine without any unnecessary sugar or artificial flavours or aromas.  It is vegan and Halal certified. Whilst the average sugar content of an alcohol-free sparkling wine has around 10-12g of sugar per 100ml (120-130 calories), Noughty Rosé has only 5.9g of sugar, that is just 18 calories 

BEMUSE - a new range of sparkling craft mead. BEMUSE is the completely new drinking experience based on Britain’s most ancient drink. A modern, low alcohol sparkling range of delicious meads, BEMUSE is available in four natural flavours with only 0.5% alcohol and 40 calories per can. This delicious drink also supports its natural producers - our endangered city and country bees 

UNLTD. IPA A full flavoured IPA with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, deep and complex malt flavours and a perfectly balanced bitter backbone. UNLTD. IPA is created for beer aficionados that love a beer or three but have gone off the bad bits that alcohol can sometimes bring. At just 13 calories per bottle, it’s one of the lowest-calorie beers on the market. It’s an IPA that’s low in carbs, vegan friendly and gluten free 

Caleño Dark & Spicy non-alcoholic spirit. The latest tropical non-alcoholic spirit inspired by Colombia. A distilled golden and spicy blend, packed with dark pineapple tropical notes, ginger and kola nut spices. Discover this new non-alcoholic spirit and its signature serve, Dark & Spicy with Soda and Fresh Lime 

Juniperl - a distilled 0% ABV Spirit, crafted from real gin botanicals with a juniper, rosemary and grapefruit flavour. Juniperl was designed from day one to be like a Gin, it’s for those days when you want a grown-up drink, but not the alcohol. Juniperl is best served with tonic, over ice and a slice of grapefruit or as a gin replacement in your favourite cocktail. The vegan and allergen-free drink helps consumers to say goodbye to hangovers and hello to a healthier, feel-good tomorrow 

Clean T, from CleanCo, turning their hand to the Tequila, the Mexican classic, this non-alcoholic alternative of the timeless tipple is crafted using a complex distillation process which replicates the same taste, aroma and experience as your favourite full-strength drink. At 0.4% ABV, Clean T offers a sequence which is earthy and fruity (reminiscent of ripe melon), with woody, oak notes, green olive and a peppery rocket and watercress finish

ABSTINENCE - achieved a clean sweep at the UK's 2021 Spirits Business Awards competing with just over 50 entries in the White ‘Spirit’ Category and 27 entrants in the Non‐Alcoholic Apéritifs Category. The blind tastings took place in the UK, first neat and then with the suggested tonic water, cola or mixer pairing.
